Game Programmer & Designer

About me

I am Daniel Bellido, a passionate Game Developer from Spain based in the UK. 

I graduated in Computer Games Programming BSc (Hons) with a First Class from Kingston University London.

During my stay at the university, I had the opportunity to develop fundamental skills individually and to cooperate in different multicultural teams playing different roles such as Lead Programmer, Game Designer, Level Design, Narrative Design, Cinematic Animator, and 3D Artist. Carrying out multiplayer, mobile projects, and even a prototype for the PlayStation 5 that explores the possibilities of the Dual Sense.

I have a strong grasp of the game design principles from pre-production to launch. MDA principles, GDD creation, Narrative Design, Monetization, Prototyping, and Testing within an Agile approach and experience using collaborative tools such as Trello and GitHub. I am also fluent in a wide range of programming languages, such as C++, C#, and GLSL. Competence in popular engines such as Unreal and Unity and other additional tools such as Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Premiere, and Microsoft Office tools to build development plans.

My professional approach is based on three fundamental pillars: planning, collaboration, and perseverance. Meticulous planning is the key to achieving my goals, as it allows me to establish a clear path to success and adapt to challenges that may arise along the way. Collaboration is essential in my work, as I value the diversity of ideas and the contribution of each team member to achieve outstanding results. Furthermore, consistency drives my progress, as I am committed to persevering in the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement in all my professional activities. These core values inform my approach and inspire me to overcome obstacles and reach new heights in my career. Some of my projects are Arma X, PartyStation,  Star Rock, and Demon's Slayer, and others

I am curious and ambitious and I work every day to improve my skills in engines like Unreal and Unity. In addition to creating other games, my next goals are to develop my skills in Software Architecture and Computer Graphics (OpenGL / Vulkan) in order to develop my little 3D Engine. 

Outside the video game development, I am also very committed to self-development by practicing mindfulness and daily exercise <whether running, in the gym, or going out on the bike> under the motto "mens sana in corpore sano". That allows me to start the day with joy, optimism, and vitality.
