Game Outline
Partystation consists of six mini-games: bowling, archery, hot potato, balloon pop, painting, and sliding survivor. Each mini-game utilizes different features of the controller, such as the gyroscope for archery or bowling, the touchpad for painting, and the PS5 triggers for more immersive gameplay in games such as Balloon pop. The controller's speaker was also used to provide immersive sound effects and haptic feedback using the rumble feature
About this project
Partystation is a group project graded with an A from the Games Programming course at Kingston University London. The project was developed as a set of mini-games for the PS5 that uses the different features of the controller, including the gyroscope, touchpad, PS5 triggers, rumble, and speaker. The game was designed to showcase the potential of the PS5 controller's unique features while providing a fun and engaging experience. Inspired by popular party games like "Mario Party," Partystation aimed to demonstrate our understanding of game development principles and use advanced tools such as the PlayStation 5 Development Kit.
