Second Feedback Results!

Welcome back to the Star Rock blog. Today we are going to take a look at the feedback received from some users who tested the game and shared their opinion about the game with the development team.

The test is made up of seven questions, and through them, we are going to analyze how the game has felt in its latest version. In the survey launched there were these questions:

  1. Does the game feel smooth?

  2. How enjoyable was your experience?

  3. Did you find any bugs? leave blank if no, and describe them if yes.

  4. Is the tutorial clear?

  5. Were the controls responsive?

  6. Do the sounds seem suitable?

  7. Is there anything you wish to point out that isn't referred to in this survey?

In the first question, there have been a total of 14 answers and it should be noted that 78.5% of users have felt the game was smooth and that 21.3% have had some problems. Of this last group, it should be noted that 7.1% have stopped having problems after adjusting the resolution options implemented in the last patch. This indicates that the implementation of these options has given good results.

In the second question, players rate their enjoyment of the game on a scale from 1 to 5, with 75% of users responding with a 5, 18.8% with a 4, and the remaining 6.3% with a 3 Which indicates that the game has been enjoyed by the majority of users and only a small percentage has remained halfway, while no response reflects dissatisfaction with the gameplay.

The following question tries to detect bugs in the game and only 5 users have reported some kind of problem, most of them related to the tutorial and only one reports a problem with the enemy shooting when he dies. Could it be that the enemy just before dying instantiates a shot? It will be investigated.

The fourth question is related to the tutorial. This asks if the tutorial is clear where the overwhelming 93.8% answered yes while someone has answered no. A little clumsy of the team not to ask what was not clear or how to improve the tutorial, but we all learn from mistakes and the survey will be much more accurate in the future.

The fifth question is about the new control system that has been implemented in this patch due to the large number of negative responses that the old one had. On this occasion, 81.3% have responded that the controls respond well, while a smaller percentage have stated that the controls are a bit buggy and an even smaller percentage have responded that they are not. Have you adjusted the resolution settings correctly? From here it is advisable to test the game at minimum resolution and gradually upload it to detect the limit of the devices.

The next question is trying to find out what opinion players have regarding the sound of the game. 75% of gamers think the game sounds are adequate while the remaining 25% think they are not. It should be noted that the sound has been the only section that the team has not been able to produce by itself since it is made up of 3 programmers and a graphic artist. All sounds are a placeholder to be able to convey some kind of emotion to the player while playing. Even so, it is important to know that 3/4 of the users have welcomed the audio proposed by the development team and it gives us a slight idea of what could be produced in case the project evolves into something more serious.

And finally, we offer users the opportunity to express themselves freely and leave us an assessment that the survey did not ask for. Only 33% of users have shared some type of assessment but all of them are very positive. Thank you!

And what's next?

There really is little more to do, although it will be told in the next post that I hope you come to visit. Until next time!
